Terms and Conditions
Please read the following Dardans Road (DR) Terms and Conditions carefully.
The Contract
Any individual or group wishing to book a tour must read and fully accept the following Terms and Conditions. When booking a tour, confirmation is complete with the receipt of a confirmation invoice by e-mail.
Medical Conditions
The Client must notify the Company in writing during the booking process of any medical condition, pregnancy, disability or any other mental and/or physical condition.
Booking
You have booked a tour properly once a deposit of 20% of the total tour cost has been paid into the Dardans Road bank account.
Payment
Once you have booked your tour, you will be provided with an electronic confirmation in which you will also find an attached invoice. An advance payment of the entire tour amount is required. The customer is required to pay all bank transfer costs in advance. Customers are offered three options to pay the amount:
- via credit card
- via paypal
- by bank transfer. All fees will be charged to the sender of the transfer. Dardans Road receives the full amount sent by the sender. These fees include the fees charged by the sender bank and any fees charged by intermediary (correspondent) banks. Note: airfare is not included.
Tour cancellation by DR
DR reserves the right to cancel the booking if the deposit and/or remaining amount is not paid on time. In addition, DR reserves the right to retain the deposit of 20% if the amount due is overdue.
Cancellation of the Tour by the Client
- For cancellations up to 40 days before the departure date, only the deposit (20% of the Tour price) will be retained.
- For cancellations up to 30 days before departure, the customer will be charged 30% of the Tour price.
- For cancellations up to 14 days before departure, the customer will be charged 50% of the tour price.
- For cancellations made less than 14 days before the departure date, the customer will be charged 80% of the Tour price.
E-mail cancellation notification is preferred as verification of the intention to cancel. The date of the e-mail will determine the applicable cancellation fees.
Tour cancellation by Dardans Road
Dardans Road reserves the right to cancel any tour for any reason, but will not cancel a tour less than 14 days prior to departure, except in the case of Force Majeure, which represents unusual or unforeseen circumstances beyond the control of Dardans Road. When a tour is cancelled by DR (including the inability to reach the minimum number of clients required for a Group Tour) prior to the agreed departure date for any reason other than the Client's fault, the Client may:
- select a substitute tour of equivalent or higher price if DR is able and willing to offer such a substitute;
- select a replacement tour of a lower price if DR is able and willing to offer it and recover from DR the price difference between the price of the originally purchased tour and the price of the replacement tour;
- request a full refund of all payments made under the contract as soon as possible.
The Company is not liable for any incidental expenses such as non-refundable flights, etc.
Insurance
Clients are responsible for taking out adequate travel insurance before leaving for the tour, covering cancellation, curtailment, accident, illness, death, as well as other related expenses. Any other relevant insurances concerning the activities of the programme booked with DR will not be verified by our office, but we reserve the right to request a copy. Clients shall fully indemnify DR for all losses incurred by DR due to the failure to take out an appropriate insurance policy.
Passport, Visa and Immigration Requirements
Any specific passport and visa and other immigration requirements, if applicable, are the responsibility of the Customers. DR will not accept any liability if Customers are unable to travel due to failure to comply with passport, visa or government immigration requirements.
